Urban Hax’s project consisted of a number of activities, including creative showcases (working with representatives of diverse communities to identify creative talent and organising showcase events), creative community forums (working with the same representatives to identify creative topics and skills and organising discussions based on these), creative design challenge (the culmination of identifying talent and creative skills through a number of challenges, enabling communities to work together) and creative journalism (engaging with young people to become “Junior Journalists” and create stories associated with the project). It created new and lasting bonds across local communities and the experiences gained rippled to friends, families and neighbours.
