Walsall for All Statement – Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Walsall for All is closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and following government advice on a daily basis.
As of 18/03/2020, the decision has been taken to postpone all face-to-face Walsall for All activities until further notice. This has been a hard decision to make and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Although there will be some or significant disruption to projects, our priority is to now: 1. Focus work with groups who are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19.
2. Work with partners to look at alternative ways of working to mitigate the suspension of some or all Walsall for All activities that include social contact.
3. Ensure those who access our projects are informed about the situation and continued to be supported by our projects across the partnership. Updates regarding the Walsall for All programme will be posted on our social media accounts and online, particularly when the disruption of projects have been minimised. It is important for all communities to support each other during this period of uncertainty (where possible and safe to do so), such as reaching out to support those who are self-isolating or vulnerable, local volunteering, making the most of local online groups and sharing accurate information and advice. Staying safe is crucial at this time. As the situation is constantly changing, please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus for up-to-date information.
