Easter charity event to support Ukrainian refugees this April

An Easter charity event has been organised in Walsall to raise funds to support Ukrainian refugees.

Nash Dom CIC, based in Walsall, is inviting people to join the event on Saturday 9th April from 11am to 2pm at their community hub on Sun Street, Palfrey (WS1 4AL). It is being supported by Walsall for All, The Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God and Morrisons Lichfield Street Community Champion.

The unfolding situation in Ukraine has created an impact in different ways in recent weeks. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian families and children will have no Easter this year as a result of fleeing from their homes or suffering in conflict areas.

Nash Dom hopes that the charity event will encourage everyone to come together and celebrate Easter differently while raising vital funds to support families in transit and those arriving in the UK.

The event will include a crafts and easter decoration sale, clothes sale, refreshments, entertainment for children and more. It is free to attend.

Nash Dom CIC is also looking for volunteers who could bake and donate cake or cookies for the cake sale. They are also looking for volunteers to help with the event on the day.

You can find out more by visiting the event page on Nash Dom CIC's Facebook.
